Just an average evening...
Whilst sitting out on the terrace last night, enjoying a glass of Pimms & the warm weather (the temperature was still 18C @ 10 pm!)...

We watched 6 hot air balloons float past over the tree tops.. looks like a very civilised way to travel... You can book balloon flights via The British School of Ballooning  http://www.hotair.co.uk   Their main launch site is just down the road in Petworth.  This is a popular site with fantastic panoramic views of the South Downs.  A balloon flight over Sussex always offers fantastic views of the Sussex landscape.  On clear days it's possible to see the south coast and the landmarks of London from 2000 feet up.

After the balloons had passed... 2 nightingales began a "sing-off"... much more entertaining than "Britains Got Talent"

Then a hour or so later, a barn owl swooped down over the meadow... just fantastic... Do I miss London????
